Kwania Goat Farm: How Your Investment in a Silage Machine Feeds a Community Herd

Because of you, cooperative members are using a new silage cutter to process feeds daily and boost herd growth.

Kwania Goat Farm has taken a massive leap forward in operations! Joram Micheal, the Farm Manager, is thrilled to report that the newly acquired, gas powered silage machine is already making a huge difference in both daily efficiency and overall herd health.

Smarter resources, healthier herd

For the seventeen families running the cooperative, feeding the animals has always been the most demanding part of daily operations.

“Goat feeding is truly at the heart of what we do.” — Joram Micheal, Farm Manager With the arrival of their brand new feed cutter, that daily chore has been transformed into a highly efficient, modern process. Every day, cooperative members harvest fresh green napier grass and transport it directly to the barn workshop to be processed.

From fresh grass to perfect silage

Using the new machinery, the farm workers grind the coarse napier grass down into a fine, uniform mixture.

This modern approach ensures that the goats receive high quality, easily digestible silage. The results are already visible: improved digestion, less feed waste, and optimal growth and productivity across the entire herd, especially for the young growing kids and expectant mothers.

It is a small operational step that yields massive benefits: healthier animals, better yields, and much smarter resource utilization. By combining traditional values with modern methods, Kwania Farm is setting new standards in local livestock farming.

Feeding a better future

This progress represents a shared success for the entire community. Joram and the cooperative members are deeply grateful for the support that made this technology possible.

“Thanks for being part of our story. We’re not just feeding goats; we’re feeding hope, sustainability, and a better future.” — Joram Micheal, Farm Manager
